Meet Our President
Stormy-Kito Justice was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. They moved to town for college in 1993 and has called Madison home ever since.
Stormy has been an active member of Congregation Shaarei Shamayim since 2019. You may recognize Stormy from their service on the Diversity Equity and Inclusion and Safety Committees, High Holiday Song, or the Shaarei Shamayim band. They love delving into discussions about Talmud and Torah, and learning new melodies for traditional prayers.
Outside of our synagogue, Stormy works as a nurse with the State of WI. A graduate of UW-Madison and Edgewood College, they worked as a trauma and surgery nurse for 10 years before transitioning to their current administrative role.
Stormy has two adult children, a 10 year-old American Staffordshire Terrier named Delilah, and a tank full of GloFish. In their free time, Stormy can be found kayaking on any of Madison’s lakes, biking, or cheering for any number of sports from acrobatic gymnastics to yacht racing. When the weather drives them toward indoor fun, they can be found writing poetry, playing board games, building (or searching for rare) Lego sets, or drumming.
