Celebrate Shabbat together at the lovely Bethel Horizons Retreat Center. We’ll have community meals, group games, singing, kids’ and teens’ activities, and adult discussions. Get to know other members and deepen your connection to the congregation. Rabbi Laurie will run the retreat. Register below, or email office@shamayim.org with questions. 

This event is open to members of Congregation Shaarei Shamayim only, and we ask that all participants have renewed their dues by the time of registration. If you would like to join, or you need help renewing, please contact Sean.

The early bird registration deadline is December 22, after which a fee of $25.00 per adult will be added to each registration.

LOGISTICS

When

Saturday, January 18 - Sunday, January 19. We’ll officially begin Saturday at lunch, but we encourage you to arrive by 11:00 a.m. to check in. Checkout time is at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Where / Lodging

Bethel Horizons Retreat Center, 4651 County Road ZZ, Dodgeville, WI 53533

We have reserved lodging at the Prairie Center, Barn Retreat Center, and Art Ventures Retreat Center. Please be aware: the Barn Retreat Center has shared bathrooms. Please specify in the “Notes” section of your registration if you prefer a room with a private bathroom.

We encourage you to bring your own bedding (sheets, warm blankets, pillows and pillowcases) and towels. The beds at Bethel Horizons are twin or double size, depending on the room.

Linens

To make sure that all our guests stay warm and comfortable, we encourage everyone to bring their own linens. For those unable to do so, Bethel Horizons will provide linens for an additional $10 per person.

Meals

All meals are vegetarian, but if you have food allergies or sensitivities, please add this information in the Notes when you register, and we will share this information with the retreat chef.

Cost

$115 per adult ($135 per adult if single room occupancy) and $30 per child. Price includes meals, snacks, and lodging (bedding/linens are not included; see "Where / Lodging" above).

If you are able, additional contributions to offset our costs are appreciated – see additional contribution option below ($18, $36, $54, etc.). Shaarei Shamayim subsidizes retreat costs for children by $50.00 per child.

We are committed to making this affordable for everyone. If cost is an issue, please contact the office for scholarship money.

Early bird registration ends December 22 – Register below soon to reserve your spot! After December 22, a $25 fee (per adult) will be applied and the remaining rooms will be reserved on a first-come first-served basis, depending upon availability.
